Kathmandu. The Nepal national football team training camp for the upcoming SAFF Championship has begun at Dashrath Stadium today.

Coach Vinod Thapa has selected 30 players including some new and exciting faces in the squad.

Since this SAFF Championship will be held in India, this is an important opportunity for Nepal. The team reached the semi-finals in the last edition.

"Our goal is to reach the final. The players are fully enthusiastic and we hope to perform well," Coach Thapa said at the opening day press conference.

Among the selected players are experienced ones who play in foreign leagues. Nepal's performance in international competitions has improved remarkably in recent years.

The training camp will run for 3 weeks followed by friendly matches to prepare for the SAFF Championship.
