Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has touched a new high today, crossing 3,000 points for the first time in its history.

In today's trading, the NEPSE index rose 45 points to reach 3,023. Total trading volume exceeded Rs 8 billion during the session.

Shares in banking, hydropower and insurance sectors rose the most. Analysts expect this growth to be sustainable given improving economic fundamentals.
