Washington DC, April 19. The Nepali community residing in the United States has launched a Rs 100 million scholarship program for meritorious yet financially disadvantaged students from Nepal.

To be administered by the Nepali American Foundation, this program will provide 50 undergraduate scholarships annually covering full tuition fees, book expenses and living costs for deserving students.

Dr. Smriti Shrestha, President of the Foundation said, "We want to remove financial barriers for Nepali students who wish to study in the United States. This scholarship will help turn their dreams into reality."
