Kathmandu. The Nepali team for the upcoming Chess Olympiad has been announced by the Nepal Chess Association.

According to the Chess Association president, for the first time a full women's team will also be sent, which is an important milestone in the history of Nepali chess.

The men's team includes experienced players and some emerging talents. Team captain Deepak Lama expressed hope of winning medals this time.

"Our team is stronger than before this time. We have worked very hard and hope for good results," Captain Lama said at the announcement ceremony.

The Nepal Chess Association has organized a special training camp to prepare the players for the high-level international competition.
