Kathmandu, April 18. Various programs were organized across the country on the occasion of International Yoga Day. More than 5,000 people collectively practiced yoga at Kathmandu's Tundikhel in the main event.

The Prime Minister, who was the chief guest, addressed the gathering saying, "Yoga is an invaluable heritage of Nepal's ancient culture. It helps improve both physical and mental health while bringing peace to individuals and communities."

Special yoga camps were also organized in major cities including Pokhara, Chitwan, Biratnagar and Nepalgunj. Various schools and offices across the nation also observed Yoga Day with special activities.
